Independent Living Disability Services provides quality support for children with complex disability care needs, in the comfort of their own home. As an NDIS provider, we’ll help your child achieve an independent and happy life through assistance with daily living, support for parents, finding the right team of allied health supports and opportunities to learn skills. This helps families stay together, and enables you to build your parenting capacity and confidence.
The multidisciplinary team
Multidisciplinary care is when a team of health professionals with different skills collaborate to support as many of your needs as possible. This care can be delivered under one organisational umbrella, or by professionals from a range of different organisations.
At Independent Living Disability Services we collaborate with allied health professionals who we meet on a regular basis. During these meetings, we discuss a participant’s needs, set goals, report on assessment results and intervention outcomes, solve problems, and work out the best way to treat each participant. The participant, their family and support workers are actively involved in all discussions about their treatment.
Our multidisciplinary team approach combines everyone’s knowledge and skills to help participants achieve excellent outcomes.
